I want to travel to Angkor from Bangkok alone myself (By train and yes, I am a girl).

Is it safe for me to do that?

Yes, it is safe. I have traveled all over SE Asia, including 3 times solo in Cambodia. What would not be safe about it? What are you concerned about?

Hundreds of single women make the trip from Bangkok to Angkor every month. It is very safe journey, but just have your wits about you as you would do anytime you are travelling.

You can get the overnight train from Aranya Prathet then take a tuk tuk to the border fro mthetrain station. Once on the Cambodia side (POIPET) you can take a share taxi to Siem Reap in the morning or wait until about 2.30pm for the scam bus!! No passenger trains in Cambodia now.
