We recently travelled with a group tour from Chau Doc (Vietnam) to Phnom Penh via Mekong River speedboat. I wasn%26#39;t sure if the visa on arrival would be available at the Cambodian port of entry so I got our visas in advance. When we came to the Cambodian port of entry, the visa on arrival was easily available, and issued quickly unless another boatload of passengers was trying to get visas. I%26#39;d guess that it%26#39;s faster than the airport visa on arrival process most of the time. Cost is the same as airport visas ($20 for U.S. citizens). Like the airports, you get the visa at one desk and then go to another desk for the immigrtion officer to admit you to Cambodia.

Thanks for the info. Visas don%26#39;t usually take that long to process at the airport, but it is nice to get the e-visa as it won%26#39;t take up valuable space in your passport like the full-page visa-on-arrival stickers.
People: please note on the e-visa website that not all border crossings will accept the e-visa, so make your visa arrangements accordingly.
