Budget how much?

I am trying to budget for our trip to Cambodia, we will be there for about 19 days in total. I have had a quote from Cambodia using mid range hotels with tours and transport starting from pp and finnishing in pp and the cost is about $2,300.00au $ , There is 3 of us travelling sharing one room. Is this expensive, or would we be better booking hotels direct and using the public bus system. We will be travelling from early December ,so i am a little worried because this is peak season and I do not want to be wasting time looking for accommodation when we arrive in each city.If anyone has travelled at this time I would appreciated any advise.

is this just the land content - I asusme you have still to add airfares?

if your $2300 is for the 3 of you it%26#39;s a bargain - $120 a day for 3 if pretty good. if it%26#39;s each - wow I%26#39;d be looking again.

my husband and i are planning our 2nd trip to Cambodia for march next year and we reckon we can do it for about $100-$120 per day for us both. We tend to stay at mid-upper range places (ie must have a pool) $10-15 for lunch (for us both) and same for dinner.

$15 per day for a tuk-tuk (will take 3) air-con bus travel from SR to PP $6 each

you can book your hotels directly via the internet, and if you are worried, you can also book tuk-tuk drivers and/or car %26amp; driver plus guide at angkor online also. I have a tuk-tuk guy in SR ($15 per day) if you%26#39;d like contact details - I can PM them to you. Otherwise there are heaps of recommendations for drivers %26amp; guides in these forums (use search function above)

I think you can do much better than this price

That cost is per person, I thought it was on the expensive side. Will keep on looking. Do you have any trouble booking buses?
