It%26#39;s certainly not necessary to arrange one in advance; you can hire any motodop to take you where you want to go.

I would definitely take a moto instead of a car.

I did spend an enjoyable day with a man named Kim in Battambang. He took us out to some temples and into the countryside. We rode the bamboo trains and had a great day. There were two of us along; Kim brought his brother with an extra bike and I believe this is the most enjoyable way to see the countryside.

He speaks great English, nice guy very hardworking (like everyone else in Cambodia!)

I would recommend Phi-lay philayroyal2003@yahoo.com. He works from Hotel Royal. He%26#39;s a really nice guy and has lived through the Khmer Rouge. He%26#39;ll tell you some fasinating stories show you everything there is to see around Battambang.

if you have a guide, you will learn much more and guide will likely know the village locals out and about. I don%26#39;t think our experience would have been nearly as rich without good moto guides, they know the interesting things to see along the way.
