Weather in Cambodia in May

Hi,

Hoping someone can help.

I%26#39;m thinking of visiting Cambodia in May but am unsure what the weather will be like. The temperatures are high but I%26#39;m concerned about the rainfall as May seems to be the beginning of the wet season.

Will it be raining continuously? Or does it rain torrentially in small bursts? Or is the rain not noticable at all?

Basically, what I%26#39;m trying to find out is if May is a good time to visit or will the rain affect the the holiday too much.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Weather in Cambodia in May

You should worry more about the heat than the rain, heh heh! Yes, it may rain but not much. Sept/Oct are the rainiest months. And when it rains it is usually for a short time. We had a few unseasonable days of rain in January, and I was glad I had my folding umbrella in my daypack. It stopped and cleared up after an hour or so...It is a beautiful month to travel, a lot of the tourists are gone, and you may have a bit more privacy at some of the temples.

We travelled Cambodia last May / June and enjoyed good weather most days. I think during our travels we had one or two short afternoon storms.

It certainly will be hot so we made sure that we had a pool to return to of an afternoon.
