Middlesbrough - that%26#39;s england right?
can%26#39;t believe you%26#39;d come all that way and not have the Angkor Herritage Park (Angkor Wat and heaps more) on your list.
you want beaches - try australia, or Thailand
THE major tourist attraction in Cambodia is Angkor Wat and it%26#39;s on almost every list of top 20 things to see before you die
check out
canbypublications.com/siemreap/srtemples.htm
then have a look round the rest of the Canby site for really good preliminary research for Cambodia
bus to the beach at Sihanoukville 4 hours for after you%26#39;re templed out.
currently planning 2nd trip to Cambodia for next year but I%26#39;m a novice compared to some of the others on this site. Check out the various trip rep[orts of Just Back Reports for more ideas
happy planning

Not much of a temple guy myself either , many pl;aces of worth in England to visit . Many things to do in and around Phnom Penh , especialy if you want to get a feel of the people and see how the other half of the world lives , take a trip to a village , an orphanage , old blighty will not be as low on your list .
Sihanook-ville is 4 1/2 hours bus ride from PP , a stop half way for food and a leg stretch , the food is reasonable and safe to eat .Beaches are mostly clean , some have all day garbage pickers to keep it that way , Ochenuteal has a multitude of bars and restaraunts with comfy seating on the beach , it is basically split with Kymer at the far end away from the tourists .Moto-taxi is $1.00 or so for most places you want to go , tuk-tuk around $3.00 average , need to haggle .Power boats/seadoos/floating tubes available also , they double the price at weekends .
Very laid back country to visit with friendly locals , come and enjoy .
Hi, I have to agree with thmoore about seeing Angkor Wat and surrounding temples, they are an awesome sight, i don%26#39;t get to excited about temples myself but these should not be missed. PP is a great city for entertainment with lively bars and nightclubs operating into the early hours most days. The beach info you have been given on the previous posts should be enough for you , enjoy your trip, and be prepared for some stormy weather that time of year.
