Do you think if we pre book our accommodation we would be able to get transport to all of these places when we arrive. I just like to be a little organised before I leave. Also what is the best way to book, I have looked on asia rooms , but I know sometimes they can be expensive. Thanks.

I can only speak for SR, PP and Sihanoukville but the time you have allocated seems about right.

The only place that we pre-booked was SR as we got a great internet special at Day Inn. The place we checked into at Sihanoukville lacked character so we checked out next morning and shifted.

Accommodation was plentiful, but some places are not as they seem over the internet. Billabong Hotel in PP was nice and they have a fantastic salt water swimming pool.

We have pics, maps and stories of our trip here... www.bobandjanette.com which may prove useful.

Happy %26amp; safe travels

You can go through to Sihanoukville; check out this:

The only thing I%26#39;d say is that you%26#39;ve allocated a total of 4 nights in PP, and that seems like a lot. You can see everything there is to see, I think, in two days there. You might want to shave off a night on the Dec. 11-14 leg.

I didn%26#39;t see your earlier post, but I hope you%26#39;re planning to spend at least a day or two in Saigon. It%26#39;s definitely worth that amount of time.

Hello Buzzaround,

We spent a month in Cambodia and two of my favourite things I did were Bokor (the deserted hill station) and Sen Monorom. Sen Monorom is quite out of the way and took a while to get there, but Bokor is definitely worth investigating...

I have to say that my biggest dissapointment was Sihanoukville. I am not really a beach person so I am probably not the best person to review it, but I thought it seemed a little seedy and superficial (I suppose it might have been the area where we were staying).

Throughout our time in Cambodia we never pre-booked, there is so much choice there and we found some ridiculously cheap (around $5US) and very nice accomodation.

Hope this is of help.

Unless you have a particular reason for spending time there, 2 nights in Kampong Thom seems like a lot to me - I think one night should be fine.

Be sure you detour to see Sambor Prey Kuk on the way from Kg Thom to Siem Reap.
