Have just come back from Cambodia and spent 3 days in Siem Reap. Our tour guide Mr Kim San,(www.angkor-guides.com) a freelance registered tour guide took us to the Angkorean Sites. We commenced our tour at 5.50am to see the Sunrise at Angkor Wat. From here we moved on to the other major sites finishing at 3.30pm. By starting out at this early hour we were able to miss the crowds and also the heat of the day. Although we were ';on the go'; for 10hours the time passed quickly as it was so interesting and informative. It was great to have someone who grew up in Siem Reap and lived here all his life and speaks fluent English to show us this important historical site.

We arrived back home to Singapore this morning (second time in Cambodia). Thank you for such a wonderful experience in Cambodia. We all enjoyed the tour very much and definitely will recommend Kim San to others. He was very kind and generous to my family. They really enjoyed his company.
Mr. Kim San is a tour guide. He and his knowledge of the area gave us an excellent feel for both the ancient Cambodians and the ';now'; generation. We went to visit his family at his home was a real highlight of our trip. We would appreciate that very much. His contacted address sourtkimsan@yahoo.com

How about Kim San
We had a wonderful guide Tek, with whom we spent 6 days going to local temples, Preak Toal Bird Sanctuary %26amp; distant temples of Beng Melea %26amp; Koh Kher.
Tek is licensed to guide in both Siem Reap (where he lives with his wife %26amp; infant daughter) and the capitol of PP.
Tek has a wonderful sense of humor %26amp; 9 years experience as a guide.

We loved him so much, that my husband is going to make him a website.
My friends told me that they were in Siem Reap at the moment and saw quite a few people on bikes. Although they would point out that it was really very hot. They spoke to one girl who said she had cycled 38 kilometers the previous day and perhaps overdid it. Tuk tuks (will take 2-3 people) range between $15 and $18 per day. They did not take a guide so they were not sure of the trust tour guide. But I have to try to search.
It is the dry season at the moment so it is not easy to bike around the Angkor complex. You should use Tuk Tuk or the car to be better.
Hi,
I received a proposed tour from a guide which is:
The cost of one day tour on 11th Sat April is 60usd(tour guide+driver and air conditioned car) for
below itinerary :
Morning visit : Angkor Thom( Soth gate, Bayon temple, Baphoun temple, Pheameanakas, Elephant and Leper King terraces), Taprohm temple( temple in
jungle. lunch. Afternoon visit to Angkor Wat temple then Sun Set.
Are there any other temples which would be better for us to visit as we only have one full day and another half day in SR. Are the charges reasonable? Thanks for reading!
