Siem Raep weather in september

Hi! planning to visit Siem Raep in September. Looks like a lot of rain is falling in september. So, the question to local: is really bad or just heavy rain for an hour and after dry again?

Thanks!

Hi

we were in SR at the end of September last year. We packed light weight rain coats and they stayed packed.

We had no rain during the day, but there were several nights where it rained just on the dinner hour (we watched it rain from the verandah restaurant we were eating at - and a line of japanese tourists with their umprellas navigating the traffic - very funny)

We also slept like babies listening to the rain fall through the leaves of the palm tree right ourside our window one night.

It didn%26#39;t impact on our trip at all.

I can%26#39;t comment on what it might be like earlier in September.

In any case, the early evening showers were not very heavy and over quite quickly.

happy planning

Thank you Helen for your response. Our trip is planned end of september so we will just go and see!

If you will be heading to remote temples, some roads may be flooded and impassable, but the rain will not affect the Angkor Wat temple complex. Beware of slippery stones- a lot of tourists have falling injuries when it rains and the stoen steps are wet! A folding umbrella is also a good idea to bring along...I%26#39;ll see you there! :-)

I think our very first visit was in September and no problems then with rain, it was much worse our last trip which was the end of May beginning of June.
