Anyone stayed at the Royal Inn?

I saw this hotel listed on the http://www.canbypublications.com website, but I don%26#39;t see it on Trip Advisor.

Has anyone stayed here who can tell me what it is like?

The website is www.royal-inn.net.

Thank you.

Anyone stayed at the Royal Inn?

Hi guys and girls,

I stayed at the Royal Inn on the 20/02 when i had arrived in Phnom Penh and also on my last day in Phnom Penh which was the 25/02.

Would just like to say that this place is hidden gem and according to the staff they had just opened in August 2008. Spanking brand new rooms and super clean toilets with it being the same as the pics displayed on their website. Had no complaints and found this hotel to be super safe.

The only thing is that the hotel is not known to many tuk tuk drivers as it is new and not very central but would cost about less than a dollar to 1usd to the main city centre near the riverside. u can tell the tuk tuk driver to go to ';sotheros bvld near the russian embassy'; and it is located about 2 units away from Winking Frog guesthouse.

I would stay there again. :)

Hi BHG,

Can you please tell me how much per night you paid for the Royal Inn.

Regards

Coopy

It%26#39;s not bad as it goes, but has a few idiosyncracies. I stayed for 2 nights. The first room I stayed in was on the 1st flr. The room was clean, but had no outside window but some glass bricks high up in the wall behind the bed which let in electric light from the corridor outside all day and night. Not great if you like complete darkness to sleep. The internet in this room did not work as the signal was too low. I asked for another room and got one on the 2nd flr. This was slightly larger with the same glass bricks. Internet signal was fine. The 1st flr was a lot noisier than the 2nd when I stayed. Both rooms had good aircon, a tv, fridge, bathroom with hot shower, clean cotton sheets and towels, decor was plain, no desk. Shampoo and bath foam was supplied but no soap. I%26#39;d stay there again, but if you can afford it stay in the Almond a few doors down which is a notch above and has a great breakfast included (Royal Inn%26#39;s is ok).
