Great Hotel off the beaten path

Don Bosco Hotel School

Best Value in Sihanoukville

Super clean spacious rooms, excellent breakfast, wonderful swimming pool at this new hotel/school. Don Bosco is an Italian Catholic charity that helps poor youth to learn trade skills. This is their first hotel school, a place where young Cambodians learn the skills to work in the hospitality industry. The quality is of accommodations is first class (four stars) and the price ($35-$45) is equal to what you would pay for a two or three star hotel near the beach. Downside is the location which is 4 kilometers from the beach. However, the hotel offers free transportation once a day to the beach and will pickup you up at the bus station (free) – otherwise it is $5 each way. Note: motorscooters can be rented for $7 at the hotel or $5 in town - I was impressed with DH Cambodia 012-470-888. I got a new Honda (1025 Kilometers on it) for $6 a day and they will reduce the rate by the week. So, if you are willing to take a bit of extra time helping the students understand you and if you are willing to be away from the noise and action of Ochheuteal Beach then you will love Don Bosco 34-933-765 www.donboscohotelschoool.com. I am trying to get it posted on tripadvisor with photos. Strongly recommended

Great Hotel off the beaten path

Yes, Don Bosco is great. The food is also excellent and amazing value for money. It%26#39;s also a great place to stay for families with kids.

The only downside is the location (not near the beach), but if you have your own transport then it%26#39;s well worth it.

Great Hotel off the beaten path

I really really hope people reading this post who consider renting motorized 2-wheeled vehicles have experience riding motos and insist on wearing a helmet. There are so many accidents involving tourists it isn%26#39;t funny. And your insurance policy isn%26#39;t likely to cover any accident that happens on a motorcycle. Be safe, don%26#39;t be sorry.

Maneki-neko makes a good point, especially since the road south is VERY BAD from Don Bosco to the southern end of Occheuteal Beach and to Otres Beach. If you%26#39;re on a moto, this stretch of road definitely requires some experience -- and a helmet would be a very good idea.
