Thanks a million, I really appreciate the help! This will be my first time to Cambodia and I feel like a newbie traveler.
Thanks again
Time is short for you , if you have a problem get back to the forum , pm me if you wish , I will help you . Colin .
hi odball going to phonm penh 25 april from bangkok ,i have booked room deluxe with balcony ($40)at velkommen inn at street 104,good reports on this site.Just wondering you recommended sunnys guest house, which out of the 2 would you say is best, cheers for any info
Well, I struck out on both of Colin%26#39;s suggestion. I received a response from Indochine that they had no rooms available and I received no response from the other suggestion.
Any other ideas would be most welcomed!
We stayed at Angkor International Hotel - really clean, central and we had a room for 4 with airconditioning for $20.00 - a single room would only be around $10.00.
Good luck
I think the treatment of this man by Phnom Penh hotels is disgusting , I paid a visit to the guest house that failed to respond to his e-mail and gave them a piece of my mind .Tourists and expats have increased in numbers partialy due to bad treatment by Thailand , should they want this trend to continue , I suggest hoteliers start showing respect to prospective customers . Letters to Cambodias tourism would be in order from disgruntled tourists , the locals deserve more consideration than this as they will suffer from declining numbers of tourists , this is a good place to discover .We managed to fix him up on his late night arrival , he was very gratefull and appreciative of the tuk-tuk men , nice gentleman .
This gentleman paid me a personal visit , despite the problems , he is enjoying Cambodia .
And how about any suggestions for PP hotels - mid range - with pools?
Want to live the life of Riley EH ? Give me an idea of when you intend to visit and I can find something that may suit , well actualy , the tuk-tuk men have thier eye open and ear to the ground . Around $60/70.00 should secure you a good room in a decent area close to attractions and %26#39;Barang-land%26#39; Riverside .
