Mekong Express Bus location Siem Reap

Hi,

Can anyone tell me where exactly the Mekong Express Bus Terminal / office is in SR please. Also I understand that you can choose which seat you take on the bus when you book your ticket with them.......would this be the same if booking through a hotel? I%26#39;ve done a ten hr bus trip in Vietnam and unfortunately got stuck on the central seat on the back row.....nightmare, I don%26#39;t want to be repeating that again ever!!

The bus station (where all the buses arrive %26amp; depart) is 5 minutes or so out of town. Yes, you are free to choose your seat if you book in advance. They can do this at the hotel. I have very long legs and I try to make sure I book a seat with ample legroom.

I have never seen a ticket stand at the actual Bus Terminal (off Route 6 east of the river) If you%26#39;re wondering where to get tickets, any travel agency in town or your hotel/Guesthouse can get them for you

Thanks for that, just a bit dubious of using travel agencies and hotels as they often charge an ';admin fee';.

If they do, what%26#39;s it going to be, say 50 cents on top of the $7 it costs from there to Phnom Penh? They didn%26#39;t add anything on at my guesthouse, so I really wouldn%26#39;t worry about it...

Hi! Bus ticket is $5 to $11 from Siem Reap to PP depending on the bus company.

I%26#39;d be happy at 50 cents, unfortunately there are a lot of people out there who would want to make MORE than 50 cents profit from backpackers (I know this from experience)!!! But thanks for your input.
