You posted in the Siem Reap forum so I assume your question relates to SR. I%26#39;m not too sure that bikes are rented to tourists in SR. We had no problem hiring them in Sihanoukville though. Cost was about US$3 per day. We were stopped by the police for doing something that every other local did however we managed to negotiate the fine down to US$1 each.

No, you do not need a Cambodian driving license. You do not need an international license. Please think twice before you rent a motorbike. The road death statistics are pretty scary. Even if YOU are a good driver, a lot of people over there aren%26#39;t. Most places that rent out bikes do not offer helmets. If you get in a traffic accident and need medical insurance, your insurance company will most likely not cover accidents on motorbikes. Look into it and safe travels.

You need for sure a Cambodian driving license, you can only drive moto w less than 50 cc without license.

International is worthless

On the other hand, this is Cambodia and the police are happy to fine you a few dollars for not having a lic and everybody is happy.

If you have an accident it can be problem with your insurance company as you were driving illegally

You can apply for a driver license at any traffic school, copy of driver lic from your home country, copy of business visa and US 28, takes one month and is valid for a year
